A Parallel Execution Model for Updating Temporal Databases

چکیده
A parallel execution model for the update process of temporal databases is introduced in this paper, based on temporal parallelism and temporal independence. The parallel approach improves the through-put of massive and complex updates of a multi-version schema system. The notion of temporal agents and its eeect on parallelism is discussed, as well as diierent transaction modes. Several simulation results that present the beneets of the parallel execution model are introduced and discussed.
